It's Wednesday afternoon,
about five o'clock.
It's been raining,
pretty much nonstop now
since early Sunday afternoon.
It's not a hard rain,
but it's steady,
and it's brought the temps down
to a very comfortable,
if a bit soggy,
65 to 72.
Maya says,
"Hey...I forgot what it was like
when it isn't 100 degrees outside!"
Nice. :)
I found something else I love
about North Carolina.
When it rains like this,
everyone pulls out their umbrellas
and their colorful rubber boots.
Pinks, greens, blues...
polka dots and stripes,
solids and flowers,
animal prints and neon.
There seems to be no end to the patterns,
designs and colors.
It's terrific.
It's different.
It's entertaining.
So is the rain.
Ah...fall.
I can feel it.
It's coming.
