The last 36 hours - A numerical break down

Deep breath...and away we go!

7 is the number of items we've sold on Craig's List, including a washer and a dryer, all of our living room furniture and a very well loved pick up truck. (Sniff...even I'm sentimental about this...)

12 is the number of people who have visited our house including the very entertaining man who cleaned up a multitude of leaves out of our yard while we were in Colorado, three of our neighbors who thankfully took a bunch of useful but prohibited, (at least to ship overseas) things from our garage, and a realtor who is going to put this house up for both sale and rent...most likely before we're out of it in the next week.

6 is the number of things bought during a brief break I took from folding the mountains of laundry I had to wash and dry before our machines hit the road. Those items included three small cans of paint, two blinds and a new book to read on the plane.

1,000 is the number of emails, (and this is just a rough estimation on my part,) shot back and forth through the World Wide Web between Steven and...well, okay LOTS of people trying to get this move organized, approved and finalized.

1 is the number of print cartridges installed in our overworked scanner and printer that is valiantly keeping up with these countless emails....

2 is the number of Winglets sleeping in the living room since one of them no longer has a real bed and the other one can't sleep in the garage where her bed has been moved.

1 is the number of big screen televisions that decided right now would be the best time to break.

1 is the number of big screen tv sized boys we have living in our house.

3 is the number of suitcases on the floor that we all keep tripping over. (We'd move them but there really isn't anywhere that isn't in the way at this point in time.)

1 is the number of family members who took off for Germany this afternoon...

3 is the number of us that went back home to finish the packing progress

and 4 is the number of Wings who are just a little bit overwhelmed and more than a little bit tired...but who are very excited about this new adventure.

We all went and ate at our favorite restaurant, Torero's last night for dinner for the final time. Steven said goodbye to the house and to North Carolina earlier today and it's all starting to feel much more real to us now. This next week will be a whirlwind. We're just going to hold on and hope it all comes out right in the end.
