Along with her contacts, Maya also got a new pair of glasses in August.
She had three frames she liked, but we both kept coming back to this one.
You can't really tell, but the frames are dark on the outside and a lovely shade of lavender on the inside.
Maya was not all about the light purple, and they're a lot different from the last pair she owned. They aren't as thick and they're rimless on the bottom. She complained about things being so bright. Goofy kid. I think she liked them better when she ordered them than she did when she picked them up.
She's had them for a few days now, though, and she has since changed her tune. In her own words: "They're starting to grow on me." She's also adjusting to a slightly different prescription and has finally acclimated.
Her glasses may be different but she's still got her insanely funny sense of humor, quick wit and sassy personality. Thank goodness some things never change.
