A few days after the kids and I flew into Denver, we took part in a Christmas brunch hosted by my parents. All of the members of the Harmelink family were invited and the day turned out to be beautiful, with sunny blue skies.
GG and Larrabee cooked all of the food for the brunch. There was breakfast casserole, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit and all sorts of other delicious things to eat. There were homemade cookies, both ginger and chocolate chip, with frozen yogurt and chocolate sauce for dessert. Yum!

Just about all of the family was there. We were missing a few...but it was really good to spend some time with those that joined in. Natalie even flew home from Kansas to be there.

Everyone was taking pictures with their phones so they could share them on Instagram.

After we ate and took pictures, we all chatted and split up to play games. Marin headed up several rounds of Apples to Apples and Maya and Scott taught Bowen and Kathy how to play Blokus. It was a really fun day.
This was the first time in many years I spent a day during the holidays with a lot of my family members. It was really great to see so many of my cousins and all of my aunts...and the waffles weren't bad, either.
